Threat of damaging winds, severe storms, tornado can’t be ruled out starting tonight

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is warning of a severe storm threat starting at around 10 pm tonight, and continuing through the early morning tomorrow.

This is part of a system that will bring strong winds, storms and convert to a threat of winter weather on Saturday night into Sunday.

From MEMA:

Here is the latest severe weather outlook from the National Weather Service. A large portion of the state has been elevated to slight risk, with damaging winds of 60+ mph being the greatest threat. Tornadoes, although a low threat at this time, are still possible. The current time frame for the possibility of severe weather is Friday night through Saturday afternoon. Be sure to have multiple methods of receiving weather alerts #mswx
