Severe weather, extreme rainfall, damaging wind and possible tornado in forecast

An additional round of extreme rainfall overnight could lead to more road flooding. This system could also produce heavy storms.

Northeast Mississippi is a target for this next round of weather.

From the NWS:

A second round of moderate to occasionally heavy rain will increase the threat for flash flooding over the Mid-South tonight through Thursday morning.

There is a chance for strong to severe storms this afternoon across Northeast Mississippi. The main threats will be damaging winds and an isolated tornado.

The threat of severe weather has already seen schools and local sporting events cancelled for Wednesday evening.
