Severe thunderstorm watch issued for parts of Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for parts of Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri and remains in effect until 9 p.m. CDT, forecasters said.

The watch includes portions of northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel, forecasters said.

Damaging wind gusts and large hail are the main concerns, forecasters said.
