70 year old Mississippi resident arrested on drug trafficking charges with five pounds of meth

A 70 year old Mississippi resident was arrested on drug trafficking charges after being found with 5 pounds of crystal meth.

From the Lee County Sheriffs Department:

On July 13, 2020 the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and North MS Narcotics Unit, conducted a search warrant at 137 State Park Road Tupelo, MS and arrested George
G. Gutieriez for Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule II Methamphetamine.

Agents seized two (2) firearms, approximately five pounds of Methamphetamine, and a large amount of US Currency.

This has been an on-going investigation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and North MS Narcotics Unit over the past several months. The investigation is still on-going and more arrest and seizures are possible.

1)Arrested: George G. Gutierrez – 70 Years Old Address: 137 State Park Road Tupelo, MS
Charges: Aggravated Trafficking of Methamphetamine.

SEIZURE:
Approximately Five (S) Pounds of Methamphetamine
Large Amount of US Currency
Two (2) firearms
