Northeast Mississippi Community College said its Student Government Association handed out Powerades donated by the Corinth Coca‑Cola Bottling Group to band students to help them keep going.

NEMCC said its Success Center helped raise student passing rates from 78.1% to 80.7%, representing about 492 additional passing grades per semester.

Bryce Robinson was named a 2026 Chime Workforce Scholar and received a $1,000 scholarship, one of 200 students nationwide selected, Northeast said.

The college celebrated the opening of the enhanced Alumni Pavilion at Tiger Stadium, honoring Dr. William Jackson’s contributions to the school and community.

Tiger Stadium officials reminded fans of the venue’s clear bag policy and said the first 200 fans at tonight’s game will receive a free Northeast clear bag.

The college posted a schedule that includes a 5 p.m. tailgate, pregame ceremonies and a 6:30 p.m. kickoff, and urged fans to bring pep rally energy to Tiger Stadium, the college said.

The Northeast Coffee Shop said it has reopened for the fall semester and urged customers to note its hours so they can stop by for their favorite brews.

Organizers said ‘Food with the First Lady: A Taste of Gluten-Free Living’ will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m. and is limited to the first 20 registrants.

Phi Theta Kappa announced its 2026-27 officer team for Northeast and said invitations to join the honor society have been sent to students.
