Northeast Mississippi Community College says students in its Residential and Commercial Wiring course are gaining hands-on skills that lead directly to employment. The college urged prospective students to enroll and contact Mason Smith for more information.

A social media post from Northeast Mississippi Community College says its BSU invited high school juniors and seniors across the state to a worship session this week to learn about the group.

Students at Northeast took part in concrete testing and practical exercises as they prepare for a concrete certification, school officials said.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said Corinth Middle School Principal Chris Killough and gifted teachers visited the NEMCC Corinth Center for an introduction to workforce training, including hands-on sessions in Collaborative Robots and the ACE CNC program.

Northeast says students are part of a community that cares about their success and offers support beyond the classroom, the school said.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said it will host the Mississippi Science and Engineering Fair on Thursday, April 9, 2026, with 330 projects from students in grades 7 through 12.

NEMCC is recruiting students to serve as Tiger Ambassadors, the college said. Applications are available online and must be submitted by May 1.

Organizers said in a social media post they will host the second annual Ready, Set, Interview Day to help students practice interview skills and build confidence. The post thanked volunteers and included hashtags referencing Skill Up Mississippi and Mississippi adult education.

Northeast Winter Guard said it placed second in the IA Class at the Mississippi Indoor Association and earned recognition as the state’s top college guard. The program credited a record 27-member roster for delivering a strong performance despite rain and difficult conditions.

Dr. Kristy Church is this month’s recipient of the Northeast Way Award for her exceptional support and mentorship of students in nursing education.
