The Batesville Driver Service Bureau said it will be closed for repairs for the remainder of the day and will resume operations at 8 a.m. tomorrow. Customers were directed to nearby offices in Oxford and Grenada.

The U.S. National Weather Service office in Memphis said a Heat Advisory will be in effect Monday for areas near and west of the Mississippi River, with heat indices expected to reach 105 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

The National Weather Service in Memphis said heat indices could top 105 degrees this afternoon and approach or exceed 110 degrees midweek, with advisories possibly extended or upgraded.

The westbound exit ramp from Interstate 22 to Mississippi 30 west at Exit 61 will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, the Mississippi Department of Transportation said. MDOT urged motorists to slow down and watch for roadside workers.
