The National Weather Service warned of an enhanced risk of severe storms, damaging winds up to 70 mph, hail and tornadoes April 27–29, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said.

An ongoing storm affected Calhoun County as WoFS highlighted two areas where initial supercells could form. WoFS advised residents to stay weather aware this afternoon through tonight.
