Northeast will host a “Meet the Tigers” event at Tiger Stadium at 5:30 p.m. tonight, organizers said. The event will let fans meet the athletes, hear the Showband from Tigerland and watch a football scrimmage.
Organizers said the event is an opportunity for the community to show support for the school’s athletes. They encouraged fans to fill the stands and cheer on the teams.
Officials said the athletes have been preparing for the season in advance of the event. The show band is scheduled to take the field for the first time at the gathering, organizers said.
Organizers asked attendees to follow the school’s Clear Bag Policy and to consult a graphic in the event’s social media comments for approved bags and stadium seating guidelines to speed entry through the gates.
