Organizers of Burnside Music Fest said a rib and chicken wing cook-off will take place on June 6 in historic downtown Ripley, Mississippi.
The festival’s website lists two competition categories with entry fees of $100 for ribs and $50 for chicken wings. Organizers said prizes will be awarded in both categories.
Contestants may pick up meat after 8:00 a.m. at Freemans & Co., and organizers said only wood smokers will be considered for judging. Freemans & Co. is listed as a sponsor.
Organizers said the festival will also feature live music, food vendors and downtown shopping.
