CoCoRaHS urged people to register at CoCoRaHS.org to become volunteer observers and help collect precipitation data in the Mid-South, the organization said.
The group said volunteer observers provide important local measurements that support weather monitoring and research across the region.
The message appeared on social media and included the hashtag #raingaugerally2026, CoCoRaHS said.
Those interested in volunteering can sign up at CoCoRaHS.org, the organization said.
