Officials have issued dense fog and freezing fog advisories through 9 a.m. for much of the Mid-South, urging drivers to exercise caution.
Reduced visibility is expected, and travel could be hazardous, especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses, which may be slick due to the freezing fog.
Motorists are advised to slow down and stay alert as conditions may change rapidly during the morning hours.
The advisories are in effect as the region experiences a combination of dense fog and freezing conditions that can create dangerous travel environments.
