Miller says Democrats keep ‘blackmail files’ amid push to oust Swalwell

White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said Tuesday that Democrats keep “blackmail files” to control their members, linking the claim to efforts to remove Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) from his seat.

“The real story here is how the Democrat Party controls its members through…” Miller said, continuing his criticism of the party.

Miller’s remarks came after calls to oust Swalwell over allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual assault, according to the remarks and reporting on the controversy.

Swalwell is a Democratic member of the U.S. House from California. Miller made the comments Tuesday as the dispute over Swalwell’s future in Congress continued.
