The Mississippi Department of Transportation said alternating lane closures and a ban on wide loads are in effect on Interstate 55 before Pleasant Hill Road at Exit 284 in DeSoto County through approximately 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, for a bridge repair and inspection.
MDOT said alternating lane closures will be in place and that no wide loads will be permitted through the work zone.
The agency advised motorists to slow down and be alert for roadside workers when approaching the area.
