The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said it continues to respond to severe weather that impacted communities across the state and posted photos showing damage in Lamar and Lincoln counties.
MEMA said the images were shared to document conditions and to inform recovery efforts. The agency thanked residents and others who have offered help.
MEMA urged potential volunteers to avoid self-deploying. The agency said people should work through a verified organization or nonprofit already assisting in the affected areas so resources are used safely and effectively.
