Miss. narcotics agents arrest Tupelo man after meth trafficking probe
The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics said Wednesday it executed a search warrant at a residence in Tupelo and arrested 34-year-old Christopher Clay Beckwith in a probe into methamphetamine trafficking.
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said Beckwith was charged with aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine, trafficking of cocaine and possession with intent to sell or deliver hallucinogens, synthetic stimulants and MDMA.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol and the DPS Interdiction Unit assisted the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in the investigation, the department said.
The department said agents seized about 603.2 grams of methamphetamine; about 30.7 grams of cocaine; about 21.0 grams of MDMA; about 2.0 grams of ketamine; 31 dosage units of alprazolam; 13 unknown white pills; three unknown orange pills; about 40.4 grams of an unknown brown powder; two ledger books; two digital scales; and $1,360 in U.S. currency.
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said the cash is believed to be proceeds from the sale of illegal narcotics.
