National Weather Service Warns of Rapid Fire Spread Risk in Mid-South

The National Weather Service in Memphis warned in a post that the Mid-South faces fire weather concerns and that any fire that ignites tomorrow could spread rapidly.

Fires can be started in many ways and are fueled by dry vegetation and certain weather elements, the agency said in the post.

The agency noted that such fire weather concerns are not common in the Mid-South, the post said.
