Severe thunderstorm warning for southeast Arkansas as storms move across Mid-South

A radar update at 5:45 p.m. showed several areas of thunderstorms moving across the Mid-South and a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for portions of southeast Arkansas, the update said.

The warning cited the potential for 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail, the radar update said.

The primary threats included damaging winds and heavy rainfall, the update said.

The radar update urged residents in affected areas to remain weather aware.
