18-year-old killed, five injured in Jackson trail ride shooting
An 18-year-old was killed and five others were injured during a shooting at a trail ride event in Jackson, police said.
Police said the shooting occurred in the 2900 block of Forrest Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on June 6.
Police identified the deceased as Joidan Worthy, 18, according to WJTV.
Officials did not immediately release further details about the shooting, the conditions of the injured or any suspects, WJTV reported. Investigators are continuing to work the case, police said.
