33 Tornadoes have hit Mississippi over last week causing 5 deaths

Thirty-three tornadoes have hit across Mississippi over the last week, including 19 last Saturday through Sunday and 14 confirmed on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The most recent reports show nearly 400 homes have been affected and 30 businesses.

Five deaths have been attributed to the storms over the last week.

One of the hardest hit areas in the state was the town of Hamilton in Monroe County in North Mississippi.
