Christmas in the Flat Set Nov. 21 at Hickory Flat Gym

The third annual Christmas in the Flat holiday market will fill the Hickory Flat Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is organized by the Hickory Flat Attendance Center PTO, and the group is now looking for vendors to set up booths. Money raised goes back to the school’s students and teachers.

The PTO put out its call for vendors on Facebook, inviting small business owners, crafters, boutique owners, bakers and anyone else with something to sell. The organizers’ slogan for the day is “Shop small. Support local. Give back big.”

Christmas in the Flat: What to Know

  • What: 3rd Annual Christmas in the Flat, a holiday vendor market
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Hickory Flat Gymnasium, Hickory Flat, Benton County
  • Hosted by: Hickory Flat Attendance Center (HFAC) PTO
  • Benefits: HFAC students, teachers and school programs

The market falls on the Saturday before Thanksgiving week. For many families in Hickory Flat and the rest of Benton County, that makes it an early chance to start Christmas shopping close to home, without driving to Tupelo, Oxford or Memphis.

Vendors Wanted for the Hickory Flat Holiday Market

The PTO says it wants to fill the gym with vendors and holiday cheer. Organizers point out that a booth is more than a place to sell. Every vendor who signs up helps the PTO raise money for activities, classroom supplies and special experiences for Hickory Flat Attendance Center students.

Vendors also get a chance to show their products to new customers during a busy shopping season. Handmade gifts, baked goods, boutique clothing, home decor and small-business products are the kinds of booths the PTO is asking for.

Anyone interested in a vendor spot can contact the HFAC PTO’s vice president for vendor information and registration. The PTO’s announcement did not list booth fees or a sign-up deadline, so vendors should reach out early to ask about details and space.

Why the PTO Fundraiser Matters

Hickory Flat Attendance Center is part of the Benton County School District. Like most small-town schools, it counts on its parent-teacher organization to pay for extras that the regular budget doesn’t always cover. Those include student rewards, teacher appreciation, classroom supplies and special events.

Events like Christmas in the Flat let the whole community help. Shoppers who come out on Nov. 21 support local sellers and the school at the same time. In the PTO’s words, “When our community shows up, our students WIN!”

It’s been a big fall for Hickory Flat students. The community recently held a Discovery Day career event, and its runners placed second at the state cross country championships.

Plan Your Visit

The Hickory Flat Gymnasium is on the Hickory Flat Attendance Center campus. Shoppers should plan to arrive any time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21. Check the HFAC PTO’s social media posts for updates on the vendor lineup as the date gets closer.
