Levi Wyatt Jr., a former Jackson State University football player, died in a crash just before 11:45 p.m. on July 31 in Jackson, Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard said.
The crash occurred at the intersection of North State Street and Belhaven Street, Howard said.
Jackson State University said it is mourning Wyatt’s loss.
The coroner’s office and the university did not immediately release additional details about the crash or Wyatt’s playing career.
