Jackson expects $4.3 million boost from Labor Day weekend events
City of Jackson officials told WJTV they expect a $4.3 million economic boost from events scheduled for the Labor Day weekend.
Yolanda Clay-Moore, director of external affairs with Visit Jackson, told WJTV that several events are planned over the holiday.
She cited a comedy show featuring Mike Epps, Jackson State’s first home game of the season and the HBCU Labor Day Classic among the weekend events.
Officials did not immediately provide additional details about how the estimate was calculated.
