MEMA urges Mississippi residents to remain alert as Hurricane Isaias nears Florida Panhandle

Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall along the Florida Panhandle late Friday, Oct. 9, into early Saturday, Oct. 10, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said on its Facebook page on Oct. 9, 2026. MEMA urged residents across Mississippi to remain alert and take necessary precautions.

MEMA said it is closely monitoring the storm’s track and advised residents to continue following MEMA, the National Hurricane Center and local meteorologists for the latest information.
