Mississippi State is trying to end Ole Miss’ longest run of dominance in the annual Battle for the Golden Egg since the 1980s, according to a preview by Brian Hadad and Carlo Barone.
Hadad and Barone wrote that the Bulldogs are desperate to turn the rivalry back in their favor and reclaim the trophy and the title of best team in the state.
The writers said the task will be difficult because Ole Miss again fields a loaded roster, renewing a challenge that has stretched for years.
