Mississippi State Turns to Fluff Bothwell to Lead Run Game

Mississippi State is expected to lean on Fluff Bothwell to lead its running game and a young running back room this fall, analysts Brian Hadad and Carlo Barone said.

Bothwell “had his moments” last season, Hadad and Barone said, but now faces an expanded role in helping the Bulldogs control the run.

The analysts said Bothwell’s role will also include helping teammate Kamario Taylor find success as Mississippi State looks to establish a consistent ground attack.

Hadad and Barone discussed what Bothwell needs to bring to the Bulldogs’ offense this fall and how his leadership could affect the team’s running game, they said.
