Star-Tribune: Minnesota to host Mississippi State in first game in state

Randy Johnson of the Minnesota Star-Tribune said Minnesota will host Mississippi State in Week 2, marking the first time the Bulldogs will play in the state, Johnson said on the T&L Opponent Preview podcast.

Johnson told host Brian Hadad that the Golden Gophers opened the season with an easy win and have carried momentum into the matchup against the Southeastern Conference opponent.

Brian Hadad welcomed Johnson back to the podcast to break down the SEC-Big Ten showdown, Johnson said. The preview focused on Minnesota’s start to the season and the upcoming home game in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
