A person of interest is in custody after a shooting in the 2000 block of Lake Circle Dr. in Tupelo on Oct. 25, 2026, that left a person seriously injured, the Tupelo Police Department said.
The Tupelo Police Department said officers responded at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, to reports of shots fired in the area of Lake Circle Dr.
The department said that before officers arrived, an individual who sustained serious injuries from a gunshot wound had already been transported to North Mississippi Medical Center for treatment.
Officers located evidence of a shooting in the 2000 block of Lake Circle Dr., secured the scene and the department’s Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating. The Tupelo Police Department said additional information may be released as the investigation progresses.
