Person shot multiple times in Jackson, police say

Jackson police said one person was shot multiple times just before 8:30 a.m. July 5 in the area of Eminence Row and Newman Avenue.

The victim told investigators the suspect was in a black Chevy when the shots were fired, the Jackson Police Department said.

The department said the shooting remains under investigation. Police did not immediately release information about the victim’s condition or whether any arrests have been made.
