Tupelo man arrested after gas station stabbing on West Main Street
A Tupelo man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a Sept. 10 stabbing inside the Blue Sky gas station on West Main Street in Tupelo.
SuperTalk Mississippi reported that officers with the Tupelo Police Department responded to the North Mississippi Medical Center emergency room after being notified about an assault and spoke with the victim.
The outlet reported the victim told officers they had been stabbed while standing in the register line at the Blue Sky gas station and that there was no indication of provocation leading up to the stabbing. Officers then went to the scene, gathered evidence and obtained a description of the suspect from witnesses, SuperTalk Mississippi said.
