Two Oxford vape store clerks jailed, face federal drug charges

Two Oxford, Mississippi, vape store clerks were jailed and face federal drug charges after investigators traced purchases linked to two University of Mississippi students’ deaths, Fox News reported, citing court documents.

Fox News said the men are identified in court filings as Yahya Mohamed Mosleh and Islam Yahya Mosleh. Each is charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, the court documents show.

According to a DEA affidavit cited by Fox News, bank records linked Aidan Hamilton to purchases at Puffs Vape Tobacco & Beer and Robert Strang to purchases at Express Mart #7. Investigators recovered similar suspected kratom products at both death scenes, the affidavit said.

The affidavit, dated Sept. 25, also describes undercover purchases and the seizure of more than 500 suspected kratom-related products from the Oxford vape shop and says investigators were still awaiting toxicology results from the medical examiner at the time.

Fox News characterized the item as a developing story.
