A 12-year-old Michigan boy identified as Hoy is programming robots to speak Anishinaabemowin, an endangered Native American language, in an effort to help preserve it, a photo caption says.
The caption, accompanying a photograph credited to Kadin Mills, says Hoy hopes to use robotics to aid language preservation.
His mentor, Danielle Boyer, is teaching him coding and electrical circuitry, the caption says.
The caption also notes that many Native American languages are endangered, according to the photo credit provided with the image by Kadin Mills.
