Air Force major ordered into pretrial confinement after Capitol protest

U.S. Air Force Maj. Jason Watson was ordered into “pretrial confinement” on Tuesday after he was detained again, a service spokesperson told The Hill on Wednesday evening.

The spokesperson said Watson was arrested on the steps of the U.S. Capitol last month after he advocated for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

The Hill reported the Air Force confirmation Wednesday evening, citing the service spokesperson.
