California authorities search for two children abducted by father, fear for their safety
Los Angeles County authorities are searching for two children who they say were abducted by their father this week. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced the investigation and expressed concern for the children’s safety.
The children, Solomon and Marozhina Sukonick, both 9, were last seen around 8 p.m. Thursday near the 1000 block of West Avenue J-8 in Lancaster. Investigators said they were traveling in a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car with California license plate SOLOYST.
The sheriff’s department described Marozhina as a white girl, 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes and was wearing pink shorts and a white shirt when last seen. Solomon is described similarly, with the same height and weight, wearing blue shorts and an unknown-colored shirt.
The children’s father, David Sukonick, 71, is described as a white man, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 135 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. Authorities said there is a concern for the children’s well-being and urged anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at 661-940-3855.
