The Congressional Progressive Caucus on Wednesday unveiled a new agenda ahead of the midterm elections to demonstrate a path for how the Democratic Party can tackle cost-of-living issues facing millions of Americans, the caucus said.
The caucus dubbed the plan the “New Affordability Agenda,” describing it as a legislative package, according to the group.
The caucus said the package is intended to address cost-of-living pressures and to serve as a policy roadmap for Democrats, the statement said.
The announcement was timed ahead of the midterm elections, the caucus added.
