Documents released Friday by the U.S. Defense Department describe Cold War reports of mysterious rotating saucers and recent sightings of metallic elliptical objects floating in midair, the department said.
The files cover unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP, the military’s term for UFOs, the department said.
The documents span decades and include both historical Cold War-era accounts and more recent reports, the department said.
