The Justice Department has issued subpoenas to three employees of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder, ordering them to appear in court on Nov. 4 in connection with an investigation into non-U.S. citizen voting, The Associated Press reported.
The AP reported the subpoenas were sent as part of the DOJ’s scrutiny of non-U.S. citizen voters in California.
The AP also reported that the subpoenas follow a lawsuit the Justice Department filed against the state earlier in October 2026.
