Fetterman, Senate Democrats send letter warning DHS not to let immigration enforcement interfere with midterm voting

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) joined Senate Democratic colleagues in sending a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin warning the department not to allow immigration enforcement officials to interfere with voting in the midterm election.

The Hill reported Sept. 28, 2026, that the letter urges the Department of Homeland Security to refrain from activities the senators say could interfere with the electoral process.

The Hill identified Fetterman as among the signers and named Markwayne Mullin as the Homeland Security secretary addressed in the letter.
