Fox Nation to Premiere ‘American Kitchen’ BBQ Special Ahead of 250th Independence Day

Fox Nation will premiere “American Kitchen: An America 250 BBQ” on July 3, the network said, offering patriotic recipes and grilling inspiration ahead of the nation’s 250th birthday. The special features decorated U.S. Army veteran and celebrity chef Andre Rush alongside chef David Burke, with appearances by chef Robert Irvine, Fox Nation said.

The program includes a cedar-plank salmon cooked over oak coals with a banana leaf barrier to keep the fish moist and a chilled buttermilk herb sauce, Fox Nation said. The special lists the salmon recipe as serving 6 to 8 and provides step-by-step instructions for soaking the plank, building the fire and marinating the fish, the network said.

Also featured are slow-smoked St. Louis-style pork ribs finished with a Korean-inspired bulgogi glaze that combines soy, garlic, ginger, sesame and gochujang, Fox Nation said. The special outlines a dry rub, a bulgogi marinade and a finishing sauce, and lists the ribs as serving 6 to 8 people.

Fox Nation said the show offers a grill-friendly clambake prepared in foil packets with clams, sausage, potatoes, corn, butter and white wine. The network provided instructions for par-cooking the potatoes and corn, sealing the packets for indirect grilling, and discarding any clams that do not open after cooking; it also listed the clambake as yielding 6 to 8 servings.

Fox Nation said “American Kitchen: An America 250 BBQ” showcases classic American cooking and regional dishes that reflect the country’s diverse culinary traditions and is intended to inspire backyard celebrations for the holiday. The special will be available on the Fox Nation streaming service, the network said.
