Gas prices hit record Labor Day high of $4.14, AAA says

The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline reached $4.14 going into the Labor Day weekend, AAA said.

AAA’s national tracking average showed the figure was a holiday record compared with past years.

The previous Labor Day record was $3.82 in 2012, AAA said.

AAA also said diesel hit its highest price ever on Friday.
