Georgia defeats Ole Miss 42-7 in Oxford; Bulldogs widen path to SEC title game and CFP contention
Georgia defeated Ole Miss 42-7 in Oxford on Saturday, a one-sided result that Fox News said was the Rebels’ largest home loss since 2018.
Fox News reported on Nov. 8, 2026, that the Bulldogs led 28-0 at halftime, extended the margin to 35-0 in the third quarter and finished with a 42-7 victory.
The outlet said Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton threw four touchdown passes through the first three quarters, and running back Nate Frazier rushed for 107 yards. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss did not throw a touchdown and had one interception, according to Fox News.
Fox News wrote that Ole Miss’ only score came on an 8-yard run by running back Shekai Mills-Knight with just under 11 minutes remaining, and that some fans began throwing trash and bottles onto the field after officials called pass interference on Ole Miss with just over five minutes left in the second quarter.
The report noted that since 2023 no two SEC programs had posted better records than Georgia and Ole Miss, and described both teams as having productive quarterbacks entering the game. Fox News added that Georgia’s run game — featuring Frazier, Dwight Phillips Jr. and Bo Walker — had been a major offensive factor.
Fox News said Georgia’s next game is a home matchup against Missouri next week; Ole Miss is scheduled to travel to Oklahoma in Week 11. The Associated Press contributed to this report, Fox News noted.
