The House passed a war powers resolution directing President Donald Trump to end U.S. hostilities with Iran, Democrats said.
Supporters called the vote a rare bipartisan rebuke of the war, but Democrats said the measure was largely symbolic.
Democrats said they have been unable to win approval of a similar resolution in the Senate and said that even if the Senate passed one it would likely be vetoed by the White House.
