The Indiana Fever avoided elimination with a 99-89 victory over the defending-champion Las Vegas Aces, forcing a decisive Game 3 on Thursday.
Fox News reported Sept. 30, 2026, that Fever guard Caitlin Clark finished with 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds and became the first player in WNBA history to record at least 25 points and 15 assists in a game (regular season or playoffs).
According to Fox News, Clark also became the first player to record a points-assists double-double before halftime of a playoff game, posting 14 points and 11 assists in 19 first-half minutes and accounting for 11 of Indiana’s 13 team assists in that span.
Clark fouled out with 2:45 remaining in the fourth quarter with the Fever leading 92-83, Fox News reported.
The Aces were led by Jackie Young with 31 points. Fox News also reported that Las Vegas forward A’ja Wilson scored 22 points and received a technical foul in the fourth quarter for an interaction with a fan.
Fox News said the Fever rallied after a second-quarter technical foul on Clark and closed the half on a 30-17 run to take a 48-43 halftime lead.
