Caitlin Clark becomes fastest to 600 assists as Fever rout Aces 109-75
Caitlin Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 600 career assists, doing so in 72 games, as the Indiana Fever beat the defending champion Las Vegas Aces 109-75 on Saturday in Las Vegas, the WNBA said.
Clark finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the victory, according to the WNBA box score. Indiana shot 56% from the field and made 15 three-pointers in a balanced offensive performance.
Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with a game-high 27 points, while Aliyah Boston posted a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double, the box score showed. Sophie Cunningham scored 20 points and made six of seven 3-point attempts; Cunningham had reportedly walked the Octagon at UFC 329 less than 24 hours earlier.
A’ja Wilson finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds for Las Vegas, according to the WNBA. The Aces made just four of 17 shots from beyond the arc as Indiana won all four quarters and closed with a 29-11 fourth quarter.
