Jeffries’s X post did not provide additional details about the meeting or the criticisms, and The New York Times report provided the initial account of the encounter, according to the newspaper.
The exchange underscores tensions between Democratic leaders and figures in the Trump orbit, a theme noted in coverage of the reported meeting, The New York Times said.
