The policy, which was implemented during the Trump administration, had stopped issuing visas to individuals from the designated countries. The judge’s decision effectively invalidates the ban, allowing visa applications from those nations to proceed.
The U.S. Department of Justice has not yet commented on the ruling. Immigration advocates welcomed the decision, calling it a victory against discriminatory immigration policies.
