Mississippians face higher costs for gas and groceries, AAA says
Mississippians are paying more for essential items, including gasoline and groceries, WJTV reported.
According to the American Automobile Association, the average price of gasoline in Mississippi is more than $3.60 per gallon, while the national average is higher than $4.00 per gallon, AAA said.
Several residents told WJTV they are ready for the Iran war to end and said they hope that could lower prices for fuel and other necessities, the station reported.
Those interviewed described rising costs as a strain on household budgets, WJTV reported, though the station did not provide statewide figures for grocery prices.
