The Justice Department announced Thursday that it has opened an investigation into whether Major League Baseball engaged in religious discrimination after the league issued warnings to three players for wearing caps with Bible verses during a Pride Night game, the department said.
The department said the probe will examine whether the league’s actions amounted to religious discrimination, according to the announcement.
