Nevada Officials Say DHS Has Not Substantiated Claim of Noncitizen Voter Registrations

Nevada election officials said the Department of Homeland Security has been unable to substantiate a Trump administration claim that thousands of noncitizens are registered to vote in the state.

The Trump administration, through DHS, had asserted that thousands of noncitizens were on Nevada voter rolls, but state officials said they have not been provided evidence to back that assertion, according to the officials.

The matter surfaced as Nevada held its primary in June. A poll worker stood in a polling location in Las Vegas during that contest.
