NFL fines three Browns for pretend-smoking touchdown celebration
The NFL fined three Cleveland Browns players for pretending to smoke following a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers, costing the players a combined set of penalties, Fox News reported.
According to Fox News, the fines were announced Oct. 10, 2026. The report said running back Quinshon Judkins and quarterback Deshaun Watson were each fined $14,397, and guard Austin Barber was fined $6,944.
Fox News said Judkins scored in the second quarter of the game against Pittsburgh before the celebration. The outlet also noted the league recently rescinded fines for 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk and Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson after meeting with the NFL Players Association, and that the league appears to distinguish drinking celebrations from actions it deems impermissible, such as pretending to smoke.
